The NJ Transit Transitway is a proposed transit corridor connecting Secaucus Junction Station, Jersey City, and the Meadowlands Sports Complex using a dedicated route for buses or similar vehicles. Part of the proposal may use the historic Bergen Arches corridor.

Community advocates are asking that any project in the Bergen Arches include a greenway component—a safe public path for walking and biking—so the corridor can support both transit and open space for residents.
